Michael Duffy was an infantry section commander in the British Army. In 2012, he was seriously wounded in a firefight with the Taliban. Shortly after his emergency surgery in the Army hospital in Camp Bastion, James Bond (Daniel Craig) came to visit. Michael thought he was hallucinating from the drugs given to him during the operation.
Daniel Craig had premiered his latest Bond film in Camp Bastion and wanted to visit the wounded in the hospital – top man.

He then went on a mental first aid course, trained as a listener, and realised he was good at it.
He tells us how this led him to set up his company, The Black Box Approach, which helps train people to spot the signs of significant depression and suicide risk.
